The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued an urgent Winter Weather Advisory for five Wyoming counties, warning of accumulating snow, strong winds, and hazardous travel conditions beginning late Monday night and continuing through Tuesday evening.
According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, the advisory affects Yellowstone National Park, Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains, Wind River Mountains West, and the Salt River and Wyoming Ranges, with impacts expected across multiple mountain passes and backcountry areas.
The advisory is in effect from 11 p.m. Monday until 5 p.m. MST Tuesday, with forecasters predicting widespread snowfall and gusty winds capable of significantly reducing visibility.
