SEATTLE — A Seattle man has been found guilty of a hate crime and second-degree assault for attacking a transgender woman in Seattle’s University District last March, in what prosecutors argued was an unprovoked assault fueled by hatred and preceded by targeted slurs.
A jury in King County Superior Court on Thursday afternoon convicted Andre Karlow of the two crimes.
