Six puppies owe their lives to the quick action of Sky Valley Fire when exposure to suspected fentanyl left them fighting for survival.
GOLD BAR, Wash. — Six puppies rescued last month from a suspected fentanyl exposure in Snohomish County are recovering, and several have now found permanent homes.
The 10-week-old puppies were saved after three were brought unresponsive to Sky Valley Fire’s Station 54 near Gold Bar. Firefighters administered CPR, oxygen and naloxone, commonly known as Narcan, after suspecting opioid exposure. Deputies later located three more puppies from the same litter that were also severely ill.
