Seattle schools to remain open, on normal schedule Wednesday for Seahawks parade

Seattle Public Schools will remain open during the Seahawks’ Super Bowl parade to ensure student stability and services, with normal attendance rules in place.

SEATTLE — Seattle Public Schools announced that they will operate as normal on Wednesday — the day the Seattle Seahawks will hold a celebratory ceremony and parade following their Super Bowl win. 

In a note to families, school officials said staying open is important for “stability, safety, and continuity for our students.” Schools will continue to offer essential services for the students who rely on them, Chief Operations Officer Fred Podesta said in a letter.
