The National Weather Service has issued an urgent Winter Weather Advisory for sixteen counties spanning across northern Illinois and Michigan, warning of hazardous travel conditions beginning Monday afternoon and continuing into Tuesday morning.
The advisory includes areas in northern Wisconsin, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and surrounding regions, where mixed precipitation, snow, and freezing rain are expected to create dangerous road conditions.

Across the advisory areas, residents can expect a mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow, with ice accumulations reaching up to one-tenth of an inch, and snow totals ranging from one to two inches depending on the location.
