Multi-million dollar Highway 99 overhaul could span years, impact small businesses

A $660 million improvement project could affect thousands along a 6.6-mile stretch in Snohomish County, with construction lasting several years.

LYNNWOOD, Wash. — Running a small family brewery has been a challenge for Jordan Alanize. He does not need any additional roadblocks.

“We already have problems with people noticing us on Highway 99,” he said. “It’s frustrating.”
