The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued an urgent Winter Weather Advisory for 28 counties across Michigan, warning residents of hazardous conditions caused by widespread freezing drizzle and light ice accumulation expected through Monday evening.
The advisory, issued by the Grand Rapids and Northern Indiana offices of the NWS, went into effect at 9:58 a.m. EST and is expected to remain in place until 7:00 p.m. EST for the central and western parts of Michigan.
For areas farther south and southwest, including portions of Indiana and Ohio, the advisory is set to expire at 4:00 p.m. EST.
