Federal officers tear gas, pepper ball demonstrators at Portland ICE facility after ‘ICE Out’ march downtown

Thousands marched downtown in the second day of demonstrations against ICE and federal agents who shot and killed Alex Pretti and Renee Good in Minneapolis.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Federal law enforcement has deployed munitions, including tear gas and pepper balls, at demonstrators at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building on the South Waterfront.

Around 8 p.m., police said that an ambulance is responding to the area for an injured person but did not give any further details, other than that officers and a paramedic are treating them.
