A Winter Storm Warning and Winter Weather Advisory have been issued across much of Georgia as a powerful winter storm moves into the region, bringing the threat of heavy snow, dangerous wind chills, and hazardous travel conditions.
The warnings, issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Peachtree City, extend from Friday evening into early Sunday, impacting both northern and central Georgia counties.
