Protesters in Seattle rallied peacefully outside the federal building, urging senators to block funding for ICE.
SEATTLE — Hundreds of demonstrators gathered Monday evening outside the federal building in downtown Seattle to protest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), urging Washington’s U.S. senators to oppose federal spending that includes funding for immigration enforcement.
The rally took place along Second Avenue outside the federal building as a spending bill moves through the Senate. Demonstrators chanted “ICE out” and called on lawmakers to reject any additional funding for ICE and Customs and Border Protection.
