SEATTLE — As the Seahawks take the field for the NFC Championship Game, fans at Lumen Field will hear the roar of fighter jets overhead, flown in part by a pilot who grew up just across the river in southwest Washington.
Lt. Dustin “Thud” Kopp, a fighter pilot with the Oregon Air National Guard, will participate in Sunday’s flyover ahead of Seattle’s matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. For Kopp, the moment is personal.
