An urgent Ice Storm Warning has been issued across Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and neighboring states, with forecasters warning of widespread, significant ice accumulation, dangerous travel conditions, and extended power outages as the system moves in over the weekend.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has expanded the warning area and extended the advisory times in response to deteriorating weather models.
