Dog dies, house severely damaged in Seattle fire

A family’s dog died in a house fire in the Roxhill neighborhood of Seattle.

SEATTLE — A dog died in a house fire Thursday in Seattle’s Roxhill neighborhood, but three people escaped the blaze unharmed.

The single-family home in the 9000 block of 34th Avenue Southwest was severely damaged, first responders told KING 5.

Three people were inside the house when it caught on fire — two adults and a minor. They escaped the blaze by climbing over a neighbor’s fence.

Neighbors on both sides of the house fought the fire with hoses before fire crews arrived on scene. Neighbors told KING
