Thurston County detectives say Karen Bodine was strangled and left along a roadway 19 years ago. Her murder remains unsolved.
OLYMPIA, Wash — Friends and family of a murdered Thurston County mother gathered Wednesday to mark the 19th anniversary of Karen Bodine’s unsolved killing.
They said they hope the annual vigil will generate leads that could bring her killer to justice.
About 30 people attended the memorial on Littlerock Road south of Olympia, where a passing driver discovered Karen’s remains on Jan. 22, 2007.
