The Wenatchee was pulled from service on Jan. 21 after hitting a log during a Seattle-Bainbridge Island crossing.
BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Wash. — Washington State Ferries are down a ship after the Wenatchee ran into a log during a Wednesday morning crossing between Seattle and Bainbridge Island.
With the vessel out of service, passengers have experienced some delays due to lower capacity on the replacement ship.
The propeller was damaged and cannot be repaired until a specialized tool is shipped in to the Eagle Harbor Maintenance Facility.
