A major winter storm is forecasted to impact large portions of North Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma beginning Friday, with snow, sleet, and ice accumulation expected to create hazardous travel and power disruptions across the region.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Watch across several Southern states, including northern Texas, eastern Oklahoma, western and central Arkansas, and portions of Louisiana, with the storm projected to bring a significant mix of snow, sleet, and ice accumulation starting Friday morning through late Sunday.
