The first win of the 2026 PGA Tour season officially belongs to Chris Gotterup.
Last season’s Genesis Scottish Open Champion, Gotterup got off to an incredible start in Hawaii with an opening round at 7-under. He went 3-under through Friday and Saturday, but he was back with a closing 6-under round on Sunday to take home the win.
Nick Taylor was the event’s reigning champion and was looking to become its first repeat winner in over a decade (Jimmy Walker). An opening round that was one stroke better than Gotterup suggested this was possible, but he just couldn’t hold on over the weekend.
