The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued urgent Snow Squall Warnings and Winter Storm Warnings across various counties in Illinois and Indiana this Wednesday morning.
Residents and travelers are being advised to prepare for dangerous, fast-moving weather conditions, including heavy snowfall, whiteout conditions, and flash freezing on roadways.
Multiple Counties Under Snow Squall Warnings
As of 8:53 AM CST, the NWS in Chicago placed several counties under a Snow Squall Warning.
The affected regions include Ford, Iroquois, and Livingston counties in Illinois, and Newton, Benton, and Jasper counties in Indiana. The warning is active until 10:00 AM CST / 11:00 AM EST.
