Former Bothell councilmember pleads guilty to manslaughter in 20-year-old’s death

SEATTLE — A former Bothell City Council member has pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter and second-degree assault in the death of a 20-year-old woman inside her Seattle home in 2024.

James Gregory McNeal, 58, entered the plea this week, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
