The National Weather Service (NWS) in State College, Pennsylvania, has issued urgent Snow Squall Warnings for six counties across central and northern Pennsylvania as fast-moving snow bands create hazardous whiteout conditions and treacherous travel.
Motorists and residents in the affected regions are urged to exercise extreme caution.
Counties Affected by the Warning
As of late Sunday morning, the Snow Squall Warning was in effect for the following six counties:
Elk County McKean County Potter County Cambria County Clearfield County Somerset County
Each warning is set to expire between 11:15 AM and 11:30 AM EST, depending on the location, but additional advisories may be issued
