A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued across large portions of Texas and Louisiana, as forecasters warn of dangerously low visibility and elevated risks for commuters and travelers throughout the region.
The National Weather Service (NWS) announced that dense fog conditions, some with visibility dropping below a quarter-mile, will persist through early Tuesday morning.
According to the National Weather Service in Houston, the advisory covers several major metro areas including Houston, Beaumont, Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans, as well as surrounding rural counties.
