EATONVILLE, Wash. — Four Native American welcome figures recently installed at Nisqually State Park were destroyed on New Year’s Eve in what some tribal members are calling an act of hate.
The sculptures, which stood at the park’s entrance near Eatonville, were knocked to the ground, leaving only their bases. The figures were installed just two months ago.
