Tornado Watch upgraded to Warning for 4 counties in Illinois and Indiana. 2 tornadoes confirmed on the ground! The warning was issued by the NWS Chicago/Romeoville office at 3:58 p.m. CST Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025, citing an organized line of “tornado-producing storms” moving east at roughly 50 mph. In its bulletin, the agency warned residents to act immediately: “To repeat, a tornado is on the ground.
