A strengthening winter storm is expected to bring dangerous blizzard conditions—whiteouts, high winds, and rapidly deteriorating travel—to parts of the Upper Midwest from Sunday, December 28, into Monday, December 29, 2025, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Multiple NWS offices issued Blizzard Warnings on Saturday afternoon, covering portions of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, central and southern Minnesota, and northern Wisconsin near Lake Superior.
