Mother Nature’s delay has tested the patience of skiers and snowboarders who are accustomed to hitting the slopes earlier in the season.
SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. — The Summit at Snoqualmie Pass is set to open just in time for Christmas, albeit later than usual. The ski area plans to open Tuesday, Dec. 23, resort officials confirmed, as conditions finally align after weeks of anticipation.
“We’ve been waiting, kind of impatiently, for snowfall to finally come,” joked Karter Riach, vice president of marketing and sales for the Summit at Snoqualmie.
