Washington State Patrol says arrangements are underway to fly Trooper Guting’s parents from Hawaii to Washington.
TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma police officers are maintaining a 24-hour watch over Trooper Tara-Marysa Guting at the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office as investigators continue reviewing evidence and arrangements are made to reunite her with family traveling from Hawaii, officials said Saturday.
The Tacoma Police Department, which is leading the investigation at the request of the Washington State Patrol, said no new details are expected to be released over the weekend. Detectives are reviewing evidence and preparing an update that could come as early as Monday.
