MIDLAND, Wash. — A Pierce County family is mourning the loss of their mother after she was killed in a suspected DUI crash while pulling into her driveway last month.
Tao Bunta, 69, was backing into her driveway on Golden Given Road in Midland around 3:30 a.m. when a suspected DUI driver struck her vehicle, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office. She had just finished her shift as a dishwasher at a casino.
