A father’s panic attack may have saved his family. Minutes after moving his son to safety, a massive tree crashed through their Tacoma home before Christmas.
TACOMA, Wash. — Tiffany Womack-Valdes, her husband Timothy Womack and their 9-year-old son fled into the stormy night in their pajamas as the smell of natural gas filled the house. It was just before 2 a.m., one week before Christmas, in what was supposed to be the family’s first holiday season in their newly purchased home.
“I don’t even remember putting on my clothes this morning,” Womack-Valdes said Wednesday. “Whatever pajamas got on, just put up my son.”
