Remote Whatcom County post office will remain open after commitment from USPS, Rep. Larsen says

Residents of the remote Whatcom County town were forced to make an hour round-trip to pick up or drop off mail when service recently was disrupted.

GLACIER, Wash — A remote Whatcom County town’s post office will remain in service after a commitment from the United States Postal Service (USPS) and Rep. Rick Larsen.

The post office in Glacier has operated for 121 years, dating all the way back to the days of the pony express. Residents spoke with KING 5 earlier this month about their concerns if service was impacted, like it had been for a month before KING 5’s story on Dec. 9.
