A tree struck a truck on Route 207 near Leavenworth, injuring a 65-year-old driver after it was launched from the river through his windshield.
LEAVENWORTH, Wash. — A driver was injured after a tree crashed through his windshield near Leavenworth on Wednesday amid heavy rains and flooding.
The man was driving south on State Route 207 near Coles Corner around 1 p.m. when the tree launched from the river into his truck, Washington State Patrol said.
A photo of the 2022 Dodge Ram 3500 showed a massive hole in the windshield.
The 65-year-old man was taken to Cascade Hospital, according to WSP.
