Leading Moroccan line producer Karim Debbagh‘s Kasbah Films is ready for the shoot of “Lords of War,” Andrew Niccol’s sequel to his 2005 crime thriller “Lord of War.” The movie starts filming today in Morocco with Nicolas Cage returning as the world’s most notorious arms dealer. As reported by Variety last month, the film has already begun principal photography in Belgium.
Debbagh attended this year’s Marrakech Film Festival with his directorial debut, “Five Eyes,” a documentary feature portraying Paul Bowles, the American expatriate composer and author who lived in Tangier for more than four decades. Debbagh bonded with him in his early 20s and began filming him on 16mm.
