Final king tides of 2025 arrive in western Washington along with last supermoon

A coastal flood advisory is in effect for parts of western Washington. Some of the tides are expected to be more than a foot higher than November’s peak levels.

SEATTLE — King tides are set to impact the coasts of western Washington over the next few days, with some areas already experiencing the elevated waters.

The tides coincide with the third and final supermoon of 2025, as well as the final full moon of the year. According to Almanac.com, “It will be higher in the sky than any other full moon until 2042.”
