Bullets rip through home, garage and truck during street race in Parkland

Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies say they received multiple 911 calls about street racers taking over a Parkland intersection on Saturday night.

PARKLAND, Wash. — A Parkland family is grateful to be alive after bullets fired during a street-racing takeover tore through their home on Saturday night, striking their fence, garage and truck while they were inside.

“People are pretty reckless, and they feel invincible,” said Steven Corning, the homeowner.
