Olympic Pipeline returns to full service after repairs

The company said 2,286 gallons of product have been recovered so far, though the total amount released is still being assessed.

EVERETT, Wash. — The Olympic Pipeline restarted a 20-inch segment Saturday after completing repairs, and the full pipeline system is now back in service, according to BP.

The release was first reported Nov. 11 after sheen was discovered in a drainage ditch in an agricultural field. The company said 2,286 gallons of product have been recovered so far, though the total amount released is still being assessed.
