Free shuttle service launches between the Key Peninsula and Gig Harbor

The Peninsula Transit Pilot Program offers free shuttle service through August 2026. It aims to fill a gap in public transportation services for the Key Peninsula.

GIG HARBOR, Wash. — Residents of the Key Peninsula gained access to public transportation on Friday as part of a nine-month long pilot program.

The new Peninsula Transit Pilot Program will offer shuttle service from Longbranch, on the most southern part of the Key Peninsula, up to Gig Harbor. There are ten shuttle stops on the route.

The service is completely free for those who choose to use it.
