Thanksgiving travel takes off — and the dogs are coming too

As ferries top 300,000 riders and SEA Airport sees hundreds of thousands of passengers a day, travelers say the key is simple: relax, and you’ll get there.

SEATAC, Wash. — Thanksgiving travel is fully underway across western Washington, and on Wednesday night, the early signs of the holiday rush were visible everywhere, at the airport, on the ferries, and along the rails. 

“You’ll get there, no matter what, sometimes a little early or late, but you’ll get there,” said Francos, a ferry passenger, summing up what many passengers described as their plan for the holiday.
