A daycare and preschool in Seattle’s Columbia City went into lockdown after a nearby shooting, leaving families distressed but unharmed.
SEATTLE — Families in Seattle’s Columbia City neighborhood are on edge after a Nov. 21 afternoon shooting forced a daycare and preschool into lockdown and left parents scrambling to protect their children during pickup.
The daycare and preschool, called La Escuelita, immediately went into lockdown and kept parents updated throughout the situation, according to one mother. She praised the staff, saying they did everything to keep families safe and informed.
