Olympic Pipeline remains shut down with leak source still unidentified, BP says

Gov. Ferguson has warned the shutdown could affect SEA Airport flights, but airlines say emergency contingencies have mitigated potential impacts.

SEATAC, Wash. — The Olympic Pipeline remained shut down Saturday evening, an outage that prompted Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson to declare an emergency over potential disruptions at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

“Olympic Pipeline continues to respond to a release of refined products east of Everett, Washington,” BP America spokesperson Christina Audisho said in a statement. “The pipeline system remains shut down at this time.
