DUPONT, Wash. — Troopers have cited the drive of a semi-truck that crashed with a load of live chickens on Interstate 5 near DuPont early Friday.
A Washington State Patrol trooper reported that “hundreds of chickens” were strewn across the roadway, before it was finally cleared around 9:30 a.m.
The crash occurred at around 1:15 a.m. near Mounts Road at milepost 116. Three lanes of I-5 were closed while cleanup was underway, clogging traffic for miles.
