Suspected gun trafficker arraigned in major fentanyl bust pleads not guilty

SAMMAMISH, Wash. — A Sammamish man accused of supplying firearms to a Sinaloa Cartel-affiliated drug trafficking ring appeared in federal court Thursday, weeks after two major takedowns that resulted in 18 arrests.

Jose Isabel Sandoval Zuniga, 30, was arraigned on gun and drug charges following coordinated raids in October that seized what federal officials called 3.4 million potentially lethal doses of fentanyl across both operations. He pleaded not guilty.
