Snoqualmie Ice Cream reopens 18 months after fire devastated four small businesses

The owners didn’t stop at rebuilding the ice cream shop. They expanded, opening two additional concepts: Falls Avenue Cookie Co. and an event space above it.

SNOQUALMIE, Wash. — More than a year and a half after a devastating fire destroyed multiple businesses in downtown Snoqualmie, the final shop welcomed customers back Wednesday, marking the completion of the community’s long recovery.

Snoqualmie Ice Cream celebrated its grand reopening on Railroad Avenue, bringing co-owners Julie Chung and Heather Dean back to the street where their business once stood.

“It honestly feels like we’re home,” Chung said.
