Monroe man arrested for kidnapping that ended at Snoqualmie Pass

Monroe police arrested a man suspected of kidnapping and assault after he allegedly abducted his ex-girlfriend’s children and assaulted her.

MONROE, Wash — A Monroe man is in custody  following his arrest on suspicion of kidnapping, assault, and making death threats after allegedly abducting his ex-girlfriend’s two children and assaulting her over the weekend, according to Monroe police.

Police said the 45-year-old Monroe resident was taken into custody early Sunday morning after officers responded to a domestic violence call around 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of South Lewis Street. The ex-girlfriend called 911, reporting that she had been attacked and her vehicle stolen.
