SR 99 near Everett completely reopens following fatal pedestrian crash

A pedestrian was struck and killed on northbound SR 99 near Everett, closing most lanes in that direction for hours.

EVERETT, Wash. — State Route 99 has completely reopened after it shut down for hours following a fatal crash between a car and a pedestrian. 

The crash took place just south of Manor Way near milepost 51 at around 3 a.m. 

Northbound traffic was diverted onto Lincoln Way, or getting by in the far left lane, while law enforcement investigated. 

The identity of the pedestrian and the circumstances leading up to the collision have not yet been released. The driver is cooperating
