The punk rock community came together to raise back the money lost from a brazen burglary.
SEATTLE — On Friday morning, a pair of burglars targeted Kraken Bar, a beloved punk rock bar in Seattle’s University District.
“They use crowbars and broke through right here,” said Lizzie Franks, a bartender.
Breaking through the front door, they went straight for the till and any cash inside.
“They were definitely just after a quick cash grab, trying to get as much as they could, as fast as possible,” Franks said. “The money was in the till, which we’re not going to do anymore.”
