Wilkens, the Hall of Fame player and coach, led the Seattle SuperSonics to their only NBA title.
SEATTLE — Lenny Wilkens, the Hall of Fame player and coach who guided the Seattle SuperSonics to their only NBA championship and left a legacy as one of basketball’s most respected figures, has died. He was 88.
Wilkens’ family said he was surrounded by loved ones when he died and did not immediately release a cause of death.
