The NBA season is a little more than two weeks old, and everything we thought we knew going into the 2025-26 campaign is already being blown to pieces. It’s only fair that we update our power rankings from the preseason version published just before the season tipped off.
No one would have predicted the Chicago Bulls would be off to a 6-1 start without arguably their best player in Coby White a few weeks ago. There was reason to believe Victor Wembanyama was about to level up this season in his third year in the NBA, but I don’t think anyone expected him to be a top-3 MVP candidate already.
