EVERETT, Wash. — With less than two weeks until Election Day, one of the tightest races in western Washington is shaping up to be the contest for mayor of Everett.
Just 65 votes separated the two candidates in the August primary. Cassie Franklin, a two-term mayor and former nonprofit CEO, faces Scott Murphy, a former city council member and businessman, with differing visions for the city’s future.
