“Wicked” will make its broadcast debut on NBC on Nov. 19.
NBCUniversal is putting last year’s Universal Pictures blockbuster on linear television just two days before sequel “Wicked: For Good” hits theaters on Nov. 21.
“Wicked” earned $756 million at the global box office, making it the most profitable Broadway film adaptation of all time. It hit $473 million in the U.S. alone, a higher domestic gross than any film that has come out since its release on Nov. 22, 2024.
