Authorities say a 57-year-old woman was shot during a purse-snatching attempt Friday evening in downtown Renton.
RENTON, Wash. — Three days after a violent robbery in downtown Renton left a woman critically injured, police say they still do not have a suspect.
The 57-year-old woman was withdrawing cash from a Bank of America ATM around 6:30 p.m. Friday when a man approached her and attempted to grab her purse, according to Meeghan Black, communications manager for the Renton Police Department.
“There was a struggle, and that’s when the suspect allegedly shot her,” Black said.
