Here’s why you might see some smoke in the skies on Monday and Tuesday.
SEATTLE — Smoky skies are expected to return to western Washington this week.
Wildfires continue to burn east of the Cascades, and KING 5’s Weather team reports that offshore winds will bring some of that smoke over the Puget Sound.
The smoke is not forecasted to have any significant impact on air quality on either Monday or Tuesday, and onshore winds should push the smoke out of the area later on Tuesday. The air quality closer to Wenatchee and the wildfires is expected to drop to unhealthy levels on Monday
